Our standard skip bin hire period is typically up to 7 days. If you require a longer period, please contact us to discuss extended hire options.

Yes, you can request to extend your skip bin hire beyond the standard 7-day period. Extended hires are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Please contact our team in advance to discuss your requirements and confirm the extended hire options.

We offer skip bins in 4, 6, and 8 cubic meter sizes, suitable for a variety of project scales and waste volumes. Please note that hook bins are not available for hire.

Choosing the right skip bin size depends on the type and volume of waste you expect to get rid of. If you’re unsure, contact us on (07) 3256 8761 and we’ll help you select the best size for your needs.

We recommend booking your skip bin hire at least 24 hours in advance to ensure availability and timely delivery.
During busy periods, booking earlier is advised. Please contact our team if you have any specific requirement and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Bins may be filled up to the top rail only and must not exceed this level.

For safety reasons, we cannot transport skip bins that are loaded above the top rail, as items may fall out during transit and pose a hazard.

Our drivers will not accept bins that exceed their capacity or have waste above the rails. If this occurs, you will be required to remove the excess material before collection.

Please note: If we are unable to perform a bin changeover or collection due to overloading, a call out fee will apply for us to return.

Certain items are strictly not permitted in skip bins due to safety, environmental, and legal regulations. Prohibited waste includes:

  • Asbestos or any asbestos-containing materials
  • Hazardous chemicals or liquids
  • Gas bottles or cylinders
  • Batteries
  • Tyres
  • Medical or biohazard waste
  • Food waste
  • Contaminated soil or materials

If you’re unsure whether an item is acceptable, please contact Brisbane City Skips before placing it in the bin. Improper disposal may result in additional charges or refusal of collection.

No, asbestos or any asbestos-containing materials are strictly prohibited in our skip bins.

No, skip bins must not be moved once they have been placed by our drivers. Bins are positioned for safe access and transport.

Moving them can cause damage to property or make collection unsafe. If you need the bin repositioned, please contact Brisbane City Skips and we’ll be happy to assist.

No, at Brisbane City Skips we do not place skip bins on public footpaths. Most local councils require a permit if a skip bin is to be positioned outside your property boundary, including footpaths, nature strips, or roads.
